In this installation project for Versus Magazine titled ‘Indonesia and Criticism’, the concept came from the magazine’s own bold personality and reputation for publishing honest discussions about design. The installation was presented as ‘visual writing’, containing Yasser’s personal views on Indonesian design and criticism, with supporting items of furniture in the form of typographic elements based on the typeface created by Yasser, YR Medula Grotesk. The goal was for visitors to absorb the message while experiencing what it feels like to be ‘inside a magazine layout’.
